This visually stunning poster was created to promote Leszek Wisniewski’s work at a show at the Galeria Plakatu Krakow (Poster Gallery Krakow) in 1993. The artist for this extraordinary work is Leszek Wisniewski, born in Poland in 1953. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan from 1973 to 1978. His work includes illustrations, paintings and posters. Wisniewski has illustrated for the New York Times, Playboy magazine, and Newsweek. His works have been published and presented in several group and individual exhibitions in many countries in Europe, North and South America and Asia. Major awards include the Art Director Club Bronze Medal for illustrations in Trend Magazine, Vienna, 1985; Gold Medal for IKEA advertising poster, Vienna, 1987; Vienna City Council nomination for the best poster of 1987, and the Award of Excellence for an illustration in the New York Times 2002.
