Vivat Expo Seville 1992″ was a significant event related to the Seville Expo ’92, a World’s Fair held in Seville, Spain, from April to October 1992. The theme of Expo ’92 was “The Age of Discovery,” marking the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s first voyage to the Americas. Various countries, including Poland, participated in this global exposition to showcase their culture, achievements, and advancements. Born in 1951, the poster artist Roman Kalarus is a celebrated Polish artist known for his exceptional contributions to the world of poster art. Born with a creative spark, Kalarus embarked on his artistic journey with a passion for visual expression. He teaches at the Poster Design Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, Poland. His works are featured in important poster and graphic art shows in Poland and abroad. He has participated in numerous exhibitions, seminars and workshops, including Grafist ‘99, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul; Vital Center for Design Studies, Tel Aviv,  2000; Universidad Diego Portales and Universidad Viña del Mar, Chile, 2005; and University of Indiana, USA. He is co-author and co-creator (together with Joanna Piech) of the paintings and stained glass windows in Blessed Karolina Kózkówna church in Tychy and Our Lady Mother of the Church church in Katowice. Kalarus is the recipient of numerous awards and distinctions. He creates paintings, posters, prints, graphic signs, illustrations, theater scenography, church interiors and music clubs.
