The International Competition for Young Jazz Bands, Jazz Juniors, which has existed since 1976, has been deeply embedded in the history of Polish jazz from the very beginning, because it was on the Jazz Juniors stage that famous artists such as Leszek Możdżer, Krzysztof Śbierański, Zbigniew Wegehaupt, took their first steps. The poster artist Piotr Kunce was born in 1947 in Krakow in a family with artistic traditions. Piotr graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow mastering in poster design and lithography. From 1981 he was the head of Poster Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków where he worked as a full professor. From 2005 until 2017 he was also a professor at Matej Bela University in Slovakia. From 1990 – 1991 he worked at the School of Fine Arts, University of Connecticut, USA as a visiting professor.
